Vermont Child & Family Community Response is a prevention based home visiting program

Vermont Child & Family Community Response’s goal is to prevent child neglect and abuse before it happens.

It takes a proactive approach and is aimed at the early warning signs of risk of maltreatment of children. Families with children prenatal to 6 years old, that do not meet the criteria for an open Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) case, are referred by DCFS and volunteer to work with our highly trained Family Support Specialists. The program lasts 12 to 16 weeks.

  • Family goal setting
  • Flexible funding and Income Benefits Inventory work
